Apps Of The Week

Today lets take a look at the top apps of this week. From what’s top in Apple’s App store, to my own personal favourites. I'll be looking at all genres of apps; from games to revision apps, so hopefully there’s something here for everyone.

Apple’s free app of the week is ‘Dwindle’. Dwindle is an app that can be used to help you to fall asleep, reduce stress and anxiety.

Dwindle:

Dwindle can be used to help you fade into a deep sleep, reduce stress/anxiety during a quick break or ease you into a state of mindfulness’- iTunes

If you’re the type of person who falls asleep listening to music but then find that this music sometimes wakes you up in the middle of the night when a louder song comes on, this app eliminates that problem as it fades the music out when you go to sleep and therefore promotes a deeper sleep.

Most downloaded free app of the week (iOS)-

Space Frontier:

Blast off for the stratosphere with Space Frontier, the addictive physics rocket game that your friends will want to play, but they can’t! It’s your phone, mate.
Your mission is to launch your rocket as high into orbit as possible.’ - iTunes

With this game, the simplicity of it makes it very addictive.
Although you may not play the game for hours on end it’s a great time passer and easy to pick up making it great to play when travelling.

Most downloaded paid app of the week (iOS)-

The Official DVSA Theory Test Kit:

The ONLY OFFICIAL Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) app for the Car Theory and Hazard Perception test. Written by DVSA – the people who set the tests.’- iTunes

This app is great for anyone learning to drive or coming up to their driving theory test.
It’s very useful at helping you practice things that will be in the test so that you are much more prepared for your theory test.

Most downloaded grossing app of the week (iOS)-

Clash of Clans:

Join millions of players worldwide as you build your village, raise a clan, and compete in epic Clan Wars!’- iTunes

This strategy video game is much more time-consuming game as you can build it up and fight against other players making it a little bit more social than other mobile games.

Apps to look out for-

Superimpose:

Just with a few taps, create professional grade superimposed or juxtaposed photos on your iPhone! You don't need a computer and expensive software to superimpose’-iTunes

There are many photo editing apps in the App store however this one is my personal favourite.
It has many features that you would get if you spent your time editing images on a photo editing software on your computer.

Cost: £1.99

Giphy cam:

Record amazing GIFs with GIPHY CAM! Feeling creative? Add some filters or special FX! Then share the best GIFs in a text, on the web, or save it to your Camera Roll for later!’- iTunes

With this app, it’s more just a bit of fun and can entertain you and your friends for hours.

Cost: FREE

Waze:

Avoid traffic jams, police traps, and accidents with Waze, the #1 real-time navigation app.’- iTunes

Waze is a clever sat nav that notices when there's traffic and redirects you to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
It also warns you of construction work that's going on around you and helps to avoid it, as well as this it helps you avoid car accidents and even police.
